Ralph R. Marshall Award
The Ralph R. Marshall Award was started by John Seibel, MD (NMMS President 1990 – 1991) in honor of an individual who has dedicated significant time and energies on behalf of the New Mexico Medical Society. Ralph R. Marshall was the first Executive Director of the Medical Society and served skillfully and innovatively from 1949 until 1988.
This is not an annual award but is given selectively. Recipients of the Ralph R. Marshall Award include:
William Kridelbaugh, MD (1991)
NM Senator Emmit Jennings MD (1993)
Alex Valdez, Secretary, NM Department of Health (1998)
NM Senator Timothy Jennings (2004)
NM Senator Steven Komadina MD (2008)
The Ralph R. Marshall Award carries a stipend of $3,000 for a vacation of the recipient’s choice.
