Application
Application process to become an accredited intrastate provider of continuing
medical education.
The New Mexico Medical Society is recognized by the Accreditation Council
of Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to accredit intrastate providers of
continuing medical education (CME) in New Mexico.
The CME Accreditation committee of the New Mexico Medical Society (NMMS) reviews
applications in January, March, May, July, September, and November. Please send
your application four months prior to the meeting. The committee reviews applications
and votes to approve or disapprove them. If the application is approved, a site
survey is arranged with the applicant. Two or three committee members will attend
the site survey and attend a CME activity. These members report their findings
to the entire committee at the next meeting. The entire committee then votes
whether or not to accredit. The applicant is promptly notified of the decision.
The application, supporting materials, sample forms, and the NMMS CME
Accreditation Policy and Procedure Manual are included as links below. If you
have difficulty downloading either of these or if you simply prefer a hard
copy, please contact Annie Jung at ajung@nmms.org
